Adapted from a 1773 sampler in the Cooper Hewitt Museum...this is a stunning, traditional Jacobean floral alphabet sampler...expertly done in cross-stitch & crewel. The workmanship on this piece is lovely - fine attention to detail and exquisite handiwork throughout.
A beautiful piece of American history, completed, hand-embroidered from a National Paragon Corp. stitchery kit (#0860). Actual piece msmts in photos - approx 20" x 23.5".
