Exceptionally beautiful...if you love those big 1940s style pinwheel roses, you'll adore this vintage chenille bedspread because it's covered in them. Even better, the colorway is seldom seen in a rich golden sunrise yellow with snowy white contrast tufts in a striking zig zag pattern. Very challenging color to capture precisely; I would say img #3 is the most accurate color in-person.Incredibly lush, luxurious soft chenille tufting throughout...outstanding detail to the pinwheel cabbage roses, and fabulous geometric accents on the drop sides. This is an heirloom, collector quality piece of our great American textile history.
At the headboard area, there is what I believe to be factory overshot dye which sometimes happened when they were marking out the pattern for tufting. This is more visible from underneath, so I want to make sure you know it's there. Otherwise, this bedspread is in remarkable condition given its age - chenille is soft and plush, colors remain vibrant.
