Shabby fab…a 28″ x 27″ inch piece of unique cut velvet vintage fabric, in a seldom seen poinsettia floral print. The watermelon pink – red color adapts beautifully to light, creating a dramatic essence in creative designs.

True shabby attributes: small pinhole as seen final img; overall fabric patina with a lighter tone to the groundcloth emphasizing deeper watermelon red raised velvet florals, and some lightening/pulls to fringe edge. Most accurate color is img #1.

This fabric offers a different presentation in terms of texture versus the better-known Bates velvets of the same 1960s origin. It is lighter weight, with low cut velvet designs instead of the thicker, heavier weight of the Bates.
