“Peachy Pink Patchwork”…a one-of-a-kind cottage style chenille bathrobe designed to emphasize your natural radiance. Wrap up & feel the warm glow…
Reminiscent of an old patchwork quilt, each piece of fabric incorporated into this special robe was carefully selected from our extensive collection of vintage chenille bedspreads.
The panel features a rare design by famed maker, Hofmann Textiles. Instead of their traditional geometric daisies, this pattern resembles old-fashioned lace doilies, the kind that might have graced furniture at Grandma’s house. Look closely…one little doily towards the center top has a manufacturer “flaw” that resembles a hidden heart. 🤍
Coordinating belt features 15 hand-cut quilt squares…Giant, mismatched front patch pockets, one cut in the coordinating doily design. Plush white daisies on pink (also a Hofmann print) grace one front panel; the opposite features a mid-1940s era beautiful, soft lightweight falling shell scallop design.
Everything about our patchwork robes is intended to emphasize the shabby cottage style so you’ll notice natural distressing to the fabric that was deliberately incorporated, such as skipped needletufting & pulls which is inherent to these very old fabrics.

OUR VISION IS SIMPLE…
To blend sentimentality with sustainability as we use these precious, scarce vintage chenille fabrics to tell a story of our great American textile history. Once omnipresent in homes across the country during the 1930s-1950s, chenille fell out of fashion in the decades thereafter. By the 1980s and 90s, they found their way to thrift stores, auction houses, and “rag factories,” allowing a new generation of enterprising women to re-envision these once-loved textiles.
Today, quality chenille has become very challenging to source in any condition, which presents a design challenge we’re up for. The benefit of this design is in its sustainability – all garments wear eventually and many are simply discarded. Lost your belt tie? Snagged the hem? Facings a bit worn? Simply infuse your own creativity & add to the shabby patchwork look with a patch here, a patch there…and let these surprisingly durable fabrics take on new life, tell a new story…yours…
