Cozy up in this “Lovey Dovey” chenille robe (or art-to-wear coat, if you’re daring) & time travel back long, long ago…the chenille bedspread this bathrobe was designed from dates to the mid-1940s era.

It is of the pattern often showcased in promotional materials from that time for the famed Peacock Alley, when proprietors would proudly display their chenille wares on clotheslines that attracted tourists passing through.

This OOAK robe features the rarest colorway made in the pattern, and the one & only like it that we’ve ever had in decades of collecting original chenille. Img #3 shows the full bedspread in all its glory before upcycling into this robe.

Sweet red rosettes with little green accent leaves are situated in a circular pattern on medium dove grey with white accents. I used every single rose from the original bedspread, so you’ll spot some cute rose appliques.

Veined back panel in a modern, spa-style silhouette with wide shawl collar facings. Standard tie belt with a single pom pom on each side. NO pockets on this one. 100% cotton.

*Special care recommended to preserve the integrity of this delicate fabric. Because this is authentic antique chenille, I do suggest gentle laundering only with a high quality detergent. Tumble dry on a delicate cycle. Hang on a padded hanger, not on a knobby robe hook.
